Masters in Behavioral Science/Pre-Licensed Therapist - Graduated at Chaminade University 2020, BA in Social Science in Psychology, Minor in Sociology - Graduated University of West Oahu 2017. Weekly 2 hours attendance of Pre-License Therapist under Supervision by Dr. Gary Augustin a License Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Hawaii
Professional Background:

Love Never fails

Currently serving as a Substance Abuse Counselor at the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Honolulu since November 2021. A U.S. Army veteran (2007–2012) with extensive experience supporting veterans and military families. Previous roles include working with Self Help Hawaii (June–September 2020), Care Hawaii (October 2020–January 2021), and Achieve Zero as a Case Management Specialist (July–September 2021).
Beliefs:
Believing that every individual—whether experiencing homelessness, youth, or families—deserves a second chance, true stability begins with a home and the emotional security that comes with it. A safe and loving environment fosters dignity, hope, and the foundation for a better future. Core values of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness, rooted in faith, guide this work. Everyone deserves love, prosperity, balance, and happiness in life.
Therapy Approach:
Motivational Interviewing "MI" is an evidence-based approach, derived from William R. Miller, Stephen Rollnick, and the Client-Centered Therapy by Carl Rogers, with empathy, genuineness, unconditional positive regards, and faith serving as the foundation. In addition, the Family System Theory, derived from Kerr and Bowen in 1988, is an approach for family and couples/marriage cohesion through modeling the community system.
Strengths:
Highly motivated, energetic, empathetic, kind, fun, loving, conscientious, loves to play beach volleyball, dedicated to self-care, family-oriented and spiritually-driven.

Dr. Golie Keovan
20 years experience as an eye Doctor, Certified Nutritionist and mother of 2 wonderful sons Dahani & Kanoa
Education:
Dr. Golie Roshandel Keovan received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago with a major in Biology in 1997. From there she attended the Illinois College of Optometry where she received her Doctor of Optometry and became DPA and TPA certified in 2002.
Professional Experience:
Dr. Golie is the founder and Owner of Ashland and Belmont Eye Care with husband, Lei Keovan. Her thorough and caring approach to eye care health has resulted in happy, healthy and loyal patients who have followed her over a span of two decades "20 years".
Dr. Golie is also passionate about nutrition, clean beauty, and toxin free products - integrating an east meets west approach to eye care.

Beliefs:
Dr. Golie believes in the philosophy of preventative medicine and always goes above and beyond the standard eye exam by integrating diet, lifestyle, and even vitamin supplementation to help maintain eye health. Therefore, many of the integrative recommendations that she makes and lifestyle changes that she suggests also helps the overall health of her patients. In addition, she believes that human health depends on what we eat, drink, and think not to mention an active lifestyle and stress-free living

Strengths:
What makes her unique is her East meets West philosophy of care. It is said that the eyes are “the windows to your soul” but they are also “the windows to your health”. Patients know her as a friendly and caring doctor who listens thoroughly to their needs. Dr. Golie is an athletic, dependable, and has a strong work ethics. Dr. Golie is happily married to her husband Lei Keovan, attorney, and office manager and together they have two sons Dahani and Kainoa who are the light of their lives. --
Professional Affiliations:
During school, Dr. Golie was elected to join the Gold Key International Honor Society, the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and she received an award of Clinical Excellence. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, and Illinois Association of Prevention of Blindness. She speaks fluent Persian (Farsi) and Spanish.
Airy Mae Stocker, MSW, LSW
Member of the Board of Directors - Vice President
Over 13 years in direct Social Work field experience, to University level Instructor experience. She is a mother to 2 beautiful girls and 2 amazing dogs.
Professional Background
She has over 13 years of professional experience in Child Welfare Services, hospice, long term care placement, inpatient and acute care, discharge planning, care coordination, Mental Health Services, Behavioral Health services, homeless outreach, Advanced Care Planning, inpatient and community Palliative Care, Emergency Department Social Work, Health Coordination, and Quest Integration Home and Community Based Services. She currently works full-time at a managed care Health Organization, and is also a part-time University Instructor for the School of Social Work.

Strengths
Her work experiences have given her skills to work with a wide variety of population which includes vulnerable children, adults facing chronic and terminal illness, homelessness, mental and behavioral health diagnosis, Advanced Care Planning, Palliative Care, hospice, community and acute care coordination, and academics. She is compassionate not only about making our communities a better and safe place to live, but also in teaching the next generation of community leaders to care and love our communties. She has dedicated her professional life in helping the underserved and the marginalized population. She is passionate about the Social Work practice and its core values, and aims to lead our communities into a more Socially Sustainable, accepting, and thriving future.
She is a wife, mother, an advocate, and enjoys spending time with her family. She speaks English, Visayan, and Tagalog. She considers herself unique in a sense that she is able to navigate the local culture, traditions, and customs as a child who was raised in Hawai'i, yet also has a diasporic identity with its own rich culture and traditions. She is passionate about helping the most vulnerable people in Hawaii and in making communities safe and ensuring they have access to their most basic needs.
Amber Lynn Mattoon, BSPH
Intern: Grant Writer and Data Analyst
Amber is just starting her career, but commits to being a public health advocate, community builder, and housing first champion.
Professional Background:
Graduating in December with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health & minor in Social Work, with experience in both community health initiatives and direct service work. She Co-founded a student organization, Public Health Students' Association, at Hawai'i Pacific University, which is focused on promoting public health within and outside of the institution.
Currently contributing to Mana Pono Holomua as an intern, with plans to continue working with the organization beyond the internship. Additional experience includes working as a barista, fostering strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Beliefs:
A firm commitment to transparency, integrity, and a person-centered approach defines every aspect of work. Every individual is seen as more than their circumstances, with a holistic approach to address social determinants of health. Strong advocacy for the Housing First model reinforces the belief that stable housing is a fundamental component of healthcare, essential for improving health outcomes and long-term well-being.

Empathy, communication, resiliency, and adaptability serve as key strengths. Building meaningful connections ensures individuals feel heard and valued. Strong communication skills help bridge gaps between diverse groups, making complex public health concepts accessible.
